NOVA SCOTIA ARTIST WILL COOPER
|
A PEEK AT MY PROCESS
CuttingI start with a sketch that I transfer onto a sheet of baltic birch plywood, then I use my scroll saw to cut along the lines.
|
SandingOnce the piece is cut, I sand all of the edges to give them a nice rounded look. This is the most time consuming step!
|
PaintingI prime the wood, then paint on the colour with acrylics. Isolation coat, varnish, glue and frame follow.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Will Cooper is a wonderful artist. I recently bought my second piece from him and I’m overjoyed at the quality of work, the work itself which is amazing and especially the subject matter. His scenes of Nova Scotia, marine life, a gentle breeze or a valley bring me such serenity. I can’t wait until I am able to take a trip up to Nova Scotia someday and meet him in person. -Lia Dudine |
I was given a framed print of Fox in the Snow as a birthday gift and it makes me feel calm and happy every time I look at it. I love Will's ability to make such peaceful scenes with the most finely tuned colour pallets. Thank you Will! - Andrea Lussing |
Bought my first piece, Great Swell, a few years back and every time I or anybody else walks into the room it catches the eye. So much so that I bought my second piece, Island View, a few weeks ago. Will's work is original, vibrant, and mixes in an east coast flavour. Great job Will. Looking forward to a third piece at some point in the future. -Mitch Oncea |
