"Will Cooper is a wonderful artist. I recently bought my second piece from him and I’m overjoyed at the quality of work, the work itself which is amazing and especially the subject matter. His scenes of Nova Scotia, marine life, a gentle breeze or a valley bring me such serenity. I can’t wait until I am able to take a trip up to Nova Scotia someday and meet him in person." - Lia Dudine
A LOOK AT MY PROCESS
CuttingI start with a sketch that I transfer onto a sheet of baltic birch plywood. Then I use my scrollsaw to cut along the lines.
|
SandingOnce the piece is cut, I sand all of the edges to give them a nice rounded look. This is the most time consuming step.
|
PaintingI prime the wood, then paint on the colour with acrylics. Isolation coat, varnish, glue and frame follow.
